So it's been a little more than 5 months that it 'enters' Hong Kong.
People tend to ask me: So what's Garuda? It sounds so difficult, to grasp the idea of what it is, and what it does to you.
In short, it is a modern hybrid of traditional Pilates, combining principles of Pilates, Yoga, Dance. If one has experience with a Gyrotonic class, they'd find similarities in certain movements.
One does not need a lot of strength and flexibility to start practicing the method, while with training, it will give you exactly that, and possibly more full body strength, flexibility, and coordination. The videos here will give you a rough idea of the movements that will be in the class and the principles of the method.
It asks for a quiet, concentrated mind. Therefore you can expect, in my sessions, either Mat Barre or Garuda Apparatus, that there will be little to no background music.
If you have tried different training to increase your sports performance, or just looking for something 'new' for your mind and body's health, this might just be it for you.
Keep an open mind, we're only restricted to the thing we think we know.
