Garuda is a holistic, organic approach to movement which concentrates on rhythm and flow. It has the clarity and mindfulness of Pilates as its core, the economy of form of Alexander Technique, the self-perception of Feldenkrais, the spirituality of yoga and the joy of dance.
All Garuda Training courses are recognized by the Pilates Method Alliance for Continuing Education Credits.
Garuda's repertoire is vast and concentrates on functionality, rejuvenation and healing. We have devised modules to take our participants, through different levels to create a sense of expertise and care.
- Mat training begins with the Foundation, progressing to Seated & Standing Matwork, Beginner and Advanced.
- Apparatus training begins with Foundation A & B, progressing onto the Series 1 and Series 2 syllabi.
Other props including Garuda Brick, Sling, Foam roller can be taken without prior Garuda Mat experiences.

Garuda Foundation Matwork is a Pilates-based system that builds gradually. Here movements start first by isolating individual muscles, then move on to the myofascial lines they belong to. All of the exercises are systematically devised to bring your mind back into exercise while making your body the leanest, strongest and most flexible it has ever been.
Mat Foundation is an intensive three-day training (24 hours in total) where you'll learn the essential Garuda Matwork repetoire.
The course is open to fitness professionals. After finishing this course you be able to lead your Garuda Mat classes and incorporate Garuda Mat in your private sessions or group classes.

Garuda Graha(Brick) Training
The Garuda Graha, or brick, workshop is an innovative and functional workout, using the Pilates principles and repertoire to instigate bilateral symmetry and stability of the pelvis, whist creating lower limb strength and functionality.
Special attention is given to the upper body, with a whole new set of exercises designed to fortify and challenge the participant. Balance and three-dimensional movement are an integral part of this work.
A novel and inspiring workshop that allows the student to experience, investigate and take away material that will challenge the remedial to advanced client.
The workshop is open to fitness professionals and non-professionals.

Garuda Chakra(Foam Roller) Training
Chakra or wheel is the defining word that aligns our newly produced foam rollers with the workouts we have created in opening, lengthening and strengthening our form. The word, aptly described as the energetic wheel, allows us to challenge ourselves whilst engaging our mental and physical prowess.
James has incorporated the Garuda repertoire and cleverly devised the movement material in making it as simple or advanced as the practitioner would require it. Chakra is the wheel of discovery, the energetic wheel that engages your physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
